PROCEEDS:

QE School

QE School has hosted Fair December for the past 7 years. The show has donated over $25,000 to School Council. The school was able to install numerous basketball nets in the backyard, an ongoing project which always got pushed to the site as more important needs came up. In the last few years so many students have enjoyed these nets during recreation time. Contributions have gone towards subsidizing school trips, upgrading classroom technology and contributing towards the enhancement of the Snoozeln Room, a calm retreat used daily by the Special Needs Program in the school. QE School continue to support Fair December and will continue to receive funds from the proceeds of the show.

Cawthra Park is excited to be hosting Fair December this year. It will give many students the opportunity to get involved and gain volunteer hours. Being a School of the Arts, Cawthra is a very busy place with numerous ongoing programs. Cawthra School Council is currently deciding how the monies donated this year will be best spent.

Peel Children’s Centre was established in 1985 to serve the mental health treatment needs of children and youth living in the Region of Peel.  Peel Children’s Centre is a fully accredited not-for-profit community-based children’s mental health treatment organization offering programs and services to children, youth and their families who experience social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges or have suffered through tragedy or abuse.  One in five children in the Region of Peel, which amounts to close to 80,000 children and youth, will require support through a mental health service at some point in their young lives. Last year, Peel Children’s Centre provided 6,900 individualized treatment services to 4,200 children, youth and their families. Peel Children’s Centre is the lead agency in the child and youth mental health sector in Peel Region and one of the largest children’s mental health agencies in Ontario.
